The ASICS Gel Nimbus 14 is suitable for underpronators and moderate overpronators. The shoe's Heel Clutching System provides increased support and improved fit. The shoe also has a lighter midsole than the standard ASICS midsole, which improves durability and cushioning. The rearfoot and forefoot gel cushioning system improve shock absorption and allow the foot to smoothly move through the gait cycle.

ASICS GEL-Nimbus® 14 Reviews

I change shoes every six months so this is my second pair of Nimbus 14's. My first pair was a 10 and fit fine. Logically, I ordered this pair in size 10. The new pair does not fit. It is ever so much shorter and with a little less room in the toe box so that my big toe rubs the side and brushes the end when striking. The only difference I found was the new colorful pair was made in Viet Nam while my existing, boring blue pair was made in China. I am returning them.

After trying several different shoes, I have found the perfect running shoe for me. The Gel-Nimbus is great. Unless you have serious pronation issues, I highly recommend this shoe. It provides excellent moderate support and cushion. It seems these shoes do all the work. I just stand in them!

Have owned several pairs, never disappointed. Arch support could be a little better but overall a good running shoe.

I've run through two pairs of the 14's since they came out, but only because I couldn't get my hands on 12's or 13's. I run 30 miles a week and the sidewalks eat this model. The heels virtually disappear in a few weeks. In addition, they don't feel like they absorb shock as well as the earlier models. I'm really disappointed with this latest effort by Asics.

Awesome shoes, I purchased after talking with another man that had flat feet like mine. He suggested the nimbus 14 and wow was he right. I am neutral pronation, size 13.5 3E, had to go with the 4E wide but there is enough cushion the shoes fit well. Shear pleasure to run in, cushion in the right places. I'm 6'1" and 230lbs, very happy, don't like the color so much but they are just for running so who cares about the color anyway.

I wear a 10 wide but since Asics does not have a wide I went with a 10 1/2 and it seemed to fit OK. Just know what your arch support is as this model is meant for a certain arch support. Asics web site tells you what models are designed for your arch support

I bought these for my boyfriend who is somewhat flat footed. He has been doing a lot of cardio lately and had knee and back problems from the way he was running, we think he is an underpronator. After wearing these for a couple weeks his aches and pains are almost gone! Would purchase these again.

I owned Gel Nimbus 12 and ran several marathons and triathlons in them. I loved the 12 so much, and I am thankful the the 14 stayed true to the shoe. It felt a little structured at first, but once they broke in though... it's good. Lighter than the 12, and cushioned impact.

I use these Asics to walk five miles a day on my treadmill. They're my fourth or fifth pair of Asics used for this purpose. I love their lightness, fit and durability. These are excellent shoes.

Feels great and supportive. Some arch support and just enough. Cushions the feet very well. Much more comfortable that the 12 model. Prefer the lacing on this style than the offset style on the 12.

First, this is the first time I have ever felt the need to post a review. I chose Asics because it is a Japanese company (the same country that makes Honda, and Acura automobiles). I would give these a 10 if I could. I personally do not like the style. I wear 12 EE, and there is only one color choice for my size. I am 6'2" 265lbs. I wanted shoes for running specifically. I have walked 1 time, and ran 3 times in these shoes. I cannot speak about the durability. I have seen reviews that suggest that this design is uncomfortable. I thought the same thing for about the first mile and a half. NOW, I could not disagree more. They are "THE" best shoes that I have ever had. My feet, knees, and back feel great. These shoes clutch the heel so well there is no slippage when running. They are expensive, but so are knee replacements.

Most comfortable shoe I've used to date. Perfect fit and I have a relatively wide foot. A few of the previous reviews criticize the width and toe room of the 14 but honestly I don't see it. I thought this shoe was a little less plush than the 13 but provided a little more space.

I have had several pairs of the Nimbus line over the years and have always been happy with them. These are the worst Asics shoes I have ever owned. They are very stiff and narrow. I've given them 3-4 weeks to see if they would 'break in' with no luck. Very disappointed.

I have always loved Asics Gels since I started wearing them several years ago. The Nimbus 14 didn't let me down either. These are ridiculously comfortable shoes.

I have some Nimbus 12's that I just love. They are 2 years old. The 14's are horrible. My feet hurt after 14 hours of nursing. Switched back to the Nimbus 12's yesterday. A complete waste of money. I guess the I will wear the Nimbus 12's till they fall apart. Very disappointed considering the great shoes I have gotten from Asics in the past.

Bought three pairs of Asics running shoes. The Nimbus 14, The Kayano 18 and the Kinsei 4 and liked the Nimbus 14 the best. I have planta fasciatis and these shoes supported my heel and forefoot the best.

Have used these sneakers for about a month now and like the support I feel when I'm on the treadmill. The true test will be in the spring when I get back to road walking. Overall, I am very satisfied to-date. Pleased with the style as well.

I first bought a pair of Nimbus 12s a couple of years ago and loved them. The asymmetric lacing was very comfortable and the shoes themselves were a dream to run in. After a year and a half though, it was time to replace them. After having run in the 14s now for about a month, I can say I am disappointed in them. Two reasons, no asymmetric lacing and the 14s seem to run slightly larger (length wise) than the 12s and slightly narrower (width wise). After a 5½ mile run, I developed blisters on the arches of both feet, where the ball and arch meet. However, I cannot say whether this is due to the size of the shoes or that when I bought the 12s, I was just getting back into shape and the distances I can now run took a long time to work up to. For now, I limit myself to no more than 4½ mile runs in an effort to build up the callouses on my feet where the shoes are rubbing.

These shoes are very comfortable to run in. They are supportive and are well worth the money. I will continue being a nimbus runner.

Marathoner & avg. 70MPW runner. Tried Asics nimbus 14 for the first time, Adidas boston series user for 12 years, wanted to try a new brand with some more cushion, so far a great shoe (high quality insole, soles, and laces), I got the yellow and blue which looks great, did a few 12 and 13 milers and a 19 miler so far, seems like its a good shoe for long runs to get some recovery, its only a few ounces heavier than my adidas boston, but they feel heavier, or maybe I need to just get used the asics, I believe I will use the Adidas boston shoes for marathon coming up, and the Nimbus for my half marathon coming up, one negative is the price, for a high mileage runner, who needs to replace shoes frequently, will see how long they last for $140. Overall, happy with Asics and will definitely use Asics along with Adidas for my running shoes. Also, Zappos is one of the best retailers.

I purchased these for my 16 year old son who runs track in school. He loves them. They seem to be holding up well. He runs about 25 miles or so a week.

These shoes suck. Period. I have Nimbus 13 and Nimbus 12. I have ran a million miles in them. The 12s and 13s are awesome shoes. These 14s are different. They run flat on the front with no cushion and are very uncomfortable. I cannot wait to get them off after running in them. I am not sure what happened to this model, but they suck.

Love these! Replaced my old Gel-Nimbus shoes (which I kept for 5 years or so). The new ones are significantly lighter but still provide the same great support. I've put in over 20 miles with the new ones and really find them to be very comfortable.

I used to run a lot, up to 1000 miles a year, but have since let my running go. This year my wife and I decided to start running again so its been rough. I am 6'4" and 300 pounds, and other shoes were killings my feet, until I bought a pair of these. They are making my return to running a more pleasurable event. I would suggest these shoes to anybody that runs on the outside part of their feet and anybody who is larger needing more cushion. I also get great comments on how bright they are, almost glow in the dark. Great conversation starter.

I've been running for several years and wanted to finally get a pair of running shoes that were meant for me...so I spent a lot of time being fitted and talking to experts and narrowed my decision down to these. Spent a good amount of money and was teased about it from my wife and friends but I thought for sure it would be a great decision. Brought them home and took them out of the box and put them right on...they were 'okay' but everyone said I'd love them. Long story short, I ran outside, I ran on the treadmill, I ran a on a local track, I ran on a couple trails...I tried it all in an effort to make it work...different lacing, etc and these shoes are terrible. Everything hurts when I wear them. From my waist down. I don't even wear them to walk around in. Just my 2 cents.

Hi; Took awhile to break in but they have been doing well for me. I just recently finished a PB time for a 1/2 marathon. Had enough legs to go dancing that night. Great shoes!Great experience all around with Zappos too!

While these are comfortable, I find the cushion in the balls of the feet to be lacking (when compared to past pairs of Gel-Nimbus).
